USB for Viking Topaz

Can any kind of USB work on a Topaz 50? A friend is selling hers for a good price but she said I would need a USB to use it. Doesn't it come with its own USB?

Hi Vickie,

You may be able to find the machines manual online and see why it needs a USB.

Is it a sewing and embroidery machine? If so, the USB would be for the embroidery designs.

The Topaz 50 should come with its own USB cable, but if not, a standard USB cable that fits the port will work fine, just make sure the connector matches the device's USB type

I have a Topaz 20 and use 2GB sticks since larger ones wont work. I actually picked up a 10-pack on Amazon so i could spread my designs across multiple sticks.
