Simple patterns for someone easing up back into quilting

My Aunt is a few months out from retiring and finally getting the chance to slow down and do more of what she loves, quilting obviously. she's made a few over the years, but never really had the time to dive deep but now she wants to fill her retirement days with fabric and machine hums and my work is to help her out and this was my first approach because she told me to source new projects for her and I dont want to overcomplicate the first few projects so I want to start with simple patterns with clean lines and ones that let the colors and fabric do the talking, modern-ish too, just something sweet nd personal I guess, I'm tired of fishing for the right words
So I would love to hear from others quilting seriously, maybe patterns you started with?

my favourite pattern is log cabin. but recently i made a gift, and was kinda lazy so I just made it like this.
